Over the past few weeks I have been working on revamping the website to transform it from a commercial advertising platform of my photography to a platform to showcase my photography.
I have decided that I will exhibit the photos I favour not what I think other people will like/admire. Of course the ego would like to receive “likes “ on Facebook or positive comments, but at the end of the day my exhibited work will be what pleases me.
Planning and preparing for our time in Paris takes up a lot of time. Presently information is being gathered and collated ready to apply for our Long Term Visa for France. A Visa is required when you stay more the 90 days in any 12 month period within an EU country.
It is my plan to provide regular updates once we arrive in Paris, these won’t be necessarily a diary of what we are doing, but more about the trials and tribulations of living in a non english speaking country.
Being a non French speaker has not proven to be a problem in the past. Experience has shown that you need to follow a few basic rules, upon entering a shop say bonjour or bonsoir depending on the time of the day and Au Revoir on leaving. The other thing that is very important is to make it known you are Australian, not English or American! Australians are usually well received.
Of course any comments on the revamp or on my ramblings are most welcome.
